Standard Housing Competition in Moscow

Open international competition for standard housing and residential development concept design.
Do Architects in cooperation with Blank Architects.
By creating a critical mass for public infrastructure the mid-rise model is the key puzzle peace of a vibrant and sustainable city. Therefore we accept the challenge to make it the most wanted in the market. Within the quarter we create uncompromised green part and two compact built
blocks with highly personalized streets around.

BUILDING BLOCK To get the best of both we diversify building types in height. This way 12 storey apartment towers gets plenty of air around while the majority is enabled to enjoy living close to the ground. Great variety in height and width together with optional standard facades and custom designed ones it creates endless possibilities to create a unique image of each block, street or entire district. Maximal and minimal density is achieved simply by changing building types. Multiple different city patterns may be created by rotating and copying asymmetric quarter puzzle peace.

Both GALLERY and mini SECTION apartments have separate ground floor entrances with private terraces in front. Assigning plots for the ground floor residents, turns the most devalued area in to the best one. Rather indicated than separated private terraces encourage residents to extend their home to the street. Continuous ground entrances and terraces associate each meter of the street to specific user or a small group of them.
