— The Retro cars — Museum
We have designed a retro cars museum complex for the Prokshino sports and event cluster in New Moscow.
Movement embodied in architecture
7,000 sq.m
2 floors
The Museum of retro cars will be located in close proximity to the anchor sports facilities of the
Prokshino cluster – an all-season resort with a ski slope, an aqua resort and a surfing center.
The key idea of the Retro cars museum’s building is the movement which is embodied in architecture.
The two-storey building is made in strict straight lines, and the rooftop level architecture reminds
about the air intakes of a racing car. The facades of the building are stylized as a radiator, and the
media screen mounted on the roof visually "moves" like a wave or a fluttering shawl. The museum
space is functional not only inside. The project provides the rooftop with an amphitheater: there will be
places for recreation and events, a curved cafe pavilion, equipment for film screenings.

Media facade movement
The museum space is organized on two levels and is complemented by an operational roof. Inside, the
levels are connected by a ramp system designed to move not only visitors, but also exhibits – retro
cars.
The first level of the building is decorated with panoramic glazing: we allow visitors to look inside and
interest them. The second tier of the facade is located on the same level with the highway passing
nearby – drivers and passengers become the main spectators. Due to the using of twisted lamellae in
the facade design, a visual effect of the dynamics of the building is created – it literally "moves". The
exhibition will feature interactive exhibits, unique cars of the past, photo zones with the possibility of
taking photos in the interior of a retro car. Spaces for lectures, film screenings, and creative meetings is
also designed for visitors. The future museum will become a participant of car rallies and a meeting
place for various automobile communities.
Due to the presence of a rooftop opened for visitors, we create there an effective space for viewing and
relaxing at the highest point of the cluster site. The museum visitors will be able to get additional
impressions in the summer in recreational areas located on the rooftop.
