— Metropolia — Wayfinding — Residential complex
Task
Development of a wayfinding project for common areas and two-level parking of a residential complex near the Volgogradsky Prospekt metro station in Moscow.
IDEA
11 buildings of the Metropolia have the names of the largest megacities in the world. The thoughtful infrastructure of the residential complex is able to meet the need for high-quality service: supermarkets, banks, a kindergarten (kid’s educational center), cozy cafes and bakeries and household services will be located on the first floors of the buildings.
The first stage of our work was the interiors of public spaces of seven of the 11 towers in the residential complex (the first stage of construction).
Each tower symbolizes one of the world capitals with its concept, which is reflected in their names and design. Wayfinding elements are subtly integrated and emphasize the style of bright interiors.
3 years after the development of the first part of the project, we have developed interiors for the remaining towers of the residential complex.
Pastel light tones and wood in the interior create a comfortable atmosphere.
The bright color of the furniture of modern forms and contrasting wayfinding elements support the special mood of each "city". Given the presence of two parking levels located under the 4 towers of the residential complex, we have divided the entire territory into several color and letter zones, allowing residents and their guests to intuitively and quickly navigate in space and find the entrance to the desired tower, unloading area or exit.
The project provides for wall graphics, pointers on columns, floor wayfinding elements and suspended structures, as well as wayfinding in elevator halls.
