Beginning of XIX century progressive manufacturers decided to locate and start operating textile production complex at Novospasky region of Moscow. Just as any industries location must have been at the river embankment to facilitate goods transport. All of factory building units were built to suit the ultimate goal- to design, develop, sell textiles and to service the workers and owners. The whole complex worked as one machine to suit the purpose. The Textile.
Beginning of XX century the location changed its purpose of existence to offices of many different companies.
What once was one common goal - textile production territory - became territory of many companies with its own goals. The unity got lost.
Buildings that were once homes to machines, products and people become exclusive for people. The industrial yards gathered crowds now. Users changed.
The natUre location that was seen purely as part of production line - river transport - gained new dimension. Eyes of site visitors opened to beauty of nature. It became view to admire.
The change of territory usage is multilayered. It is on technical, social and emotional level. Out of many irreversible changes - one elements stays: the buildings. Witnesses of artistic and technological creation of textiles.

Future - the new tenants, people, families who will decide to live here, spend their after work, leisure and relax time. Till now the site hosted only work attitude people. A total new energy will enter the site, the energy of people returning to their apartments after work.

Past unity - landscape
To seek the Tower we look at whole complex. We seek its unity from the past.
We imagine textile canvas covering whole complex. We gather the textile fabric spirit existing in buildings, grab it firmly, twist, to let the light material flow, make sure all are connected and pull high the create a sign symbolic to its past and highliting the presence. We interact with territory landscape, can peer into facades, with smooth textile like shapes bringing into the tower spot. All moves connect and guide into the tower. We unity the site using its yards and open spaces
Manifest - the tower
The tall, tower like building will be natural, high spot to manifest the symbols of the complex. Simple in its volumes. A canvas to show the game of art creations of textiles designers of past, maybe also modern Russian. We can use for it any public spaces:facade patterns, interiors and landscape. With particular attention to its visibility from many spots in Moscow. It will manifest the site it derives from. This the tower of Novospasky complex, everybody will recognize its uniqueness
